Health care providers across Waterloo Region are invited to attend the Interconnected Futures Conference, hosted by the PEGASUS Institute. This multi-day event brings together clinicians, researchers, and global health leaders to explore the intersections of migration, health equity, and social justice.


With the continued arrival of refugees and newcomers in the region, this event offers timely and practical learning opportunities for those working in clinical and community care settings.

 

Clinical Day: April 29, 2026
Location: University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy

 

A dedicated Clinical Day designed for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals supporting newcomer populations. Sessions will focus on evidence-informed, practical approaches to addressing complex health and social needs.

 

Accreditation: Up to 3.25 Mainpro+® credits through the College of Family Physicians of Canada

 

Main Conference: May 1–3, 2026
The conference explores the theme Global Migration: Health, Justice, and Belonging through plenary sessions, workshops, and presentations.

 

Key topics include refugee and migrant health, mental health, health equity, climate change, and global and local policy responses.
