Reception House Waterloo Region

Reception House Waterloo Region (RHWR) is a charitable organization, which has been providing services to government assisted refugees (GARs) for over 30 years. Programs assist refugees throughout their settlement and integration process, enabling them to lead healthy and productive lives in their new community. Programming supports newly arrived refugees to access services and navigate various systems, including healthcare, to ensure positive settlement outcomes. Specifically related to healthcare, RHWR collaborates with the Centre for Family Medicine (CFFM) to run the Refugee Health Clinic that provides primary healthcare to all GARs. RHWR has also developed projects that support social integration, youth development and employment, all of which are carried out in partnership with other organizations and groups in the community.
